Agilitas strengthens transformation and ESG team with two new appointments

Agilitas Private Equity (“Agilitas”), the pan-European mid-market private equity firm, is pleased to announce two new senior appointments to strengthen its core capabilities in transformational expertise and sustainable value creation.

Matthias Hansch joins the team as Head of Transformation to support Agilitas-backed businesses in the design and implementation of their transformation plans. Matthias oversees Agilitas’s five-person team of Transformation Professionals whose roles are to accelerate strategic value creation in portfolio companies.

Matthias brings to the role more than two decades of experience working with management teams to deliver sustainable profitability improvements. Prior to joining Agilitas, Matthias was an Operating Partner at a Germany-based private equity firm. After starting his career at McKinsey, he became a member of the German Management Board at Alix Partners and was then appointed Chief Transformation Officer of a private equity-backed business. Matthias holds a Dr. rer. Pol (Ph.D. equivalent) in Business Administration from RWTH Aachen University and a Diplom-Kaufmann (MA equivalent) in Business Administration from the University of Manheim. He speaks German and English.

Alison Prout joins as an ESG Transformation Professional to support Agilitas across all aspects of its differentiated approach to responsible investment and sustainable value creation. Alison brings deep responsible investing and social sector expertise which helps inform Agilitas’s continual efforts and commitment to investing sustainably to support human and planetary flourishing.

Alison has over twenty years’ experience working on a broad range of social, environmental and development opportunities for investor networks, governments, NGOs and UN Agencies. She has worked with global organisations including Ceres, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Wildlife Fund. Alison holds an MA in Post-Communism and a BA in European Studies from the University of Leeds. Alison speaks English and French.
