Agilitas Private Equity LLP (“Agilitas”), the pan-European mid-market private equity firm, announces seven new appointments across its transformation, investment, and corporate teams, underscoring Agilitas’s focus on supporting current and future investments and creating long term value for its portfolio companies and investors.
Matias Zanniello has been appointed to focus on driving transformational value creation with Agilitas-backed portfolio companies. Matias was most recently Business Managing Director for Lemontech, which he joined after six years working as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group (BCG), MatrixConsulting, and The Mind Company. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires. Matias speaks German, Spanish, and English.
Eric Brea Garcia and Annie-Laure Mahieu join the Agilitas investment team where they will be working on driving step changes in performance in new and existing investment opportunities. Eric Brea Garcia joins Agilitas after six years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Madrid and London, specialising in business services and industrials. Eric holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a joint Master of Science degree from Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris on Data Science for Business. Eric is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English. Annie-Laure brings financial expertise, having previously spent two years in investment banking with Rothschild & Co in Frankfurt. She holds a BSc from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi School of Management. Annie-Laure speaks French, Luxembourgish, German, and English.
Martin Bavinton joins Agilitas as General Counsel, strengthening the firm’s legal and governance capabilities. Prior to joining Agilitas, Martin was General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Alteri Investors and earlier General Counsel at Oakley Capital. Martin started his career at Ashurst in London and Madrid. He holds a Diploma in Law from the University of Law and a MA (“Master of Arts”) in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford. Martin is fluent in English, Greek, Portuguese, and Spanish.
James Sexton has been appointed as an Investor Relations professional, bringing experience in investor communications and fundraising. James brings deep expertise having worked at Stanley Capital, Investcorp, Rede Partners, and BC Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (“BA”) in Economics from Durham University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) charterholder.
Alex Robin and Joshua Whittaker join as Finance Managers. Alex was most recently a Financial Controller at Amitra Capital, following time as a Senior Associate at PwC Channel Islands. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (“ACA”) and holds a Bachelor of Science (“BSc”) in Mathematics from the University of Exeter. Prior to Agilitas, Joshua Whittaker worked as a Financial Accountant at private equity firm OpCapita. Joshua also spent five years at chartered accountancy and tax advisory firm, Haysmacintyre (now HaysMac). He is an ACA and holds a BA degree in History from the University of Exeter.
